Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
