Homages Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A court order put a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
